Taylor & Riley’s Heartland Meadows Knoxville Wedding

There is something I love about a weekday wedding.

It feels a little different from the very beginning. Maybe it is because everyone has intentionally stepped away from their normal routines to be there. Maybe it is because weekday weddings often feel a little more relaxed and intimate. Whatever it is, Taylor and Riley's Monday Knoxville Wedding at Heartland Meadows was filled with exactly that kind of warmth.

On September 28, their closest friends and family gathered in North Knoxville to celebrate a love story that had already been years in the making.

And they were more than ready to celebrate these two!

A Timeless Black and White Wedding

Taylor chose a classic black-and-white color palette for their wedding day, and it was absolutely beautiful against the natural setting of Heartland Meadows.

There is something about black and white that never goes out of style. It felt elegant without being overly formal and allowed the people and emotions of the day to take center stage.

Taylor's wedding gown from Vow'd was absolutely stunning on her. It photographed beautifully throughout the entire day, but when we took these two outside as the sun began to set, it was perfection.

That warm East Tennessee light gave us the dreamiest glow for their portraits.

Those are always some of my favorite moments on a wedding day. The ceremony is over, the nerves have disappeared, and the couple finally gets a few quiet minutes together. Taylor and Riley were officially married, and you could see the happiness all over their faces.

A Love Story Worth Celebrating

Taylor and Riley have been together for quite some time, which made their wedding day especially meaningful for the people who have watched their relationship grow.

Their parents weren't simply watching two people begin a relationship. They were watching a love story they had already witnessed for years enter an entirely new chapter.

There is something really special about that.

Throughout the day, you could see how excited their families were for them. There were proud smiles, hugs, laughter, and so many little moments that showed just how much these two are loved.

Friends Who Truly Celebrate You

One of the things that always stands out to me on a wedding day is how a couple's friends respond to them.

Taylor and Riley have some really good people.

Their friends didn't just show up for the wedding. They celebrated them. They encouraged them. They laughed with them, supported them, and made sure these two felt loved throughout the entire day.

Those friendships make such a difference.

Years from now, Taylor and Riley will have beautiful photographs of the details and portraits from their Knoxville Wedding, but they will also have photographs of the people who were standing beside them during this season of their lives.

Those images become more valuable with every passing year.

Personal Details Made Their Day Even Sweeter

Some of my favorite details from Taylor and Riley's wedding came from the people who love them most.

Taylor's great-aunt, Theresa Vandergriff, created the florals for the wedding, while her grandmother, Connie Vandergriff, made their wedding cake. I love when family members get to contribute their talents to a wedding day because those details become so much more than decorations.

They become part of the family's story.

And then there was dinner.

Waffle House catered the wedding, and I have to say, that is such a fun choice for a Tennessee wedding! It fit the relaxed, joyful atmosphere of the day perfectly and gave their guests something memorable to enjoy together.

A Golden Ending to a Beautiful Day

As the sun began dropping over Heartland Meadows, we slipped away with Taylor and Riley for their sunset portraits.

The light was gorgeous.

Taylor's gown caught that warm glow perfectly, and for a few minutes, everything slowed down.

It was just the two of them.

After years together, months of planning, and an entire day surrounded by the people who love them most, they finally had a moment to stand together as husband and wife.

Those are the moments I never get tired of photographing.

Taylor and Riley, thank you for allowing Amy-Cole Photography to be part of such a meaningful day. Your Knoxville Wedding was beautiful, but even more than that, it was filled with people who genuinely love you and a relationship that everyone around you was excited to celebrate.

We are so happy for you both and cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes you.

Enjoy a sneak peek from your beautiful day!
