Sarah & Daniel’s Timeless Hotel Avalon Wedding | Alpharetta, Georgia

Give me a classic black-tie wedding, a gorgeous bride and groom, and 150 people who are genuinely excited to celebrate, and I am one happy photographer!

Sarah and Daniel's Hotel Avalon Wedding in Alpharetta, Georgia, was filled with everything we love about wedding days. Timeless details, beautiful Jewish traditions, incredible friendships, and families who couldn't have been more excited to watch these two become husband and wife.

On Saturday, October 10, 2026, we joined Sarah and Daniel at The Hotel at Avalon for a beautiful fall wedding. With the Atlanta area experiencing wind and rain from a hurricane, the hotel's elegant interiors provided the most incredible setting for their wedding portraits.

And with a classic black-and-white color palette, the entire day felt effortlessly sophisticated.

I have so many favorite moments from this one!

A Classic Black Tie Wedding at Hotel Avalon

If there is one wedding style that will always have my heart, it's a classic black-tie celebration.

Sarah and Daniel chose black and white for their wedding colors, and the entire wedding party looked incredible.

Sarah's seven bridesmaids, Sarah, Anna, Camdyn, Cate, Jordan, Nancy, and Olivia, wore elegant black gowns that created the most beautiful, timeless look.

Daniel and his six groomsmen, Anthony, Alan, Corey, Josh, Max, and Zane, wore classic black tuxedos from The Black Tux. There is just something about a group of guys in tuxedos that makes wedding portraits feel so polished!

And then there was Sarah.

She was absolutely stunning.

Her Antonio Gual wedding gown from The White Magnolia Bridal Collection was the perfect choice for their elegant celebration. With hair and makeup by Jahna Christa, every detail of her bridal look was beautiful.

Daniel looked so handsome in his tuxedo, and together these two were picture perfect.

Gorgeous Wedding Portraits at The Hotel at Avalon

One of the things I love about a Hotel Avalon Wedding is the beautiful variety of spaces available for photographs.

The hotel's architecture, elegant interiors, and beautiful natural light create such a sophisticated atmosphere. For a formal wedding like Sarah and Daniel's, it was the perfect backdrop.

With the October rain outside, we spent time exploring some of the hotel's gorgeous indoor spaces for portraits.

And I loved the results!

The classic black tuxedos, the bridesmaids' beautiful gowns, and Sarah's stunning dress photographed so well against the hotel's interiors.

There is something incredibly romantic about those timeless, editorial-style wedding portraits. These are the kinds of photographs that will look just as beautiful hanging in their home decades from now.

A Private First Look

One of my favorite moments of the day was Sarah and Daniel's private first look.

Before the ceremony, these two had the opportunity to see one another and enjoy a few moments together.

I love first looks because they give couples a chance to slow down and really take in the excitement of their wedding day.

There is always something so sweet about watching a groom see his bride for the first time.

And these two were adorable together!

Their excitement was contagious, and we had so much fun photographing them throughout the afternoon.

Beautiful Jewish Wedding Traditions

Sarah and Daniel's wedding ceremony was filled with meaningful Jewish traditions that made their celebration even more personal.

One of those special moments was the signing of the ketubah with their rabbi.

The ketubah is a traditional Jewish marriage contract, and its signing is such a meaningful part of the wedding celebration. It was an honor to photograph this moment as Sarah and Daniel prepared to begin their marriage.

At 5:00 p.m., surrounded by the people they love most, these two celebrated their marriage in a beautiful Jewish ceremony.

I love when couples incorporate traditions that reflect their heritage and the things that matter most to their families. Those are the details that make a wedding day so personal.

Two Families With a Beautiful Legacy of Love

One of the sweetest things about Sarah and Daniel's wedding was getting to know their families.

Sarah's parents, April and Steve Bussoletti, have been married for more than 30 years. Daniel's parents, Linda and Steve Ravitz, have also shared more than 30 years of marriage.

How special is that?

I think there is something incredibly beautiful about beginning your marriage surrounded by parents who have spent decades building lives together.

Throughout the day, you could see how proud and excited their families were.

The hugs, the smiles, the laughter, and the joy were everywhere.

Sarah and Daniel are clearly surrounded by people who love them well, and that made their wedding day even sweeter.

Everyone Needs an “Other Sarah”

Now, I have to tell you about one of our favorite people from the entire day.

Daniel's sister and Sarah's matron of honor, who we affectionately called "the other Sarah," was an absolute gem.

She was everywhere she needed to be, making sure Sarah and Daniel had everything they needed and that all the little details were taken care of.

She was truly their right-hand person throughout the day.

And honestly, she became mine and Josh's too!

We loved getting to know her, laughing with her, and having her alongside us throughout the celebration.

There is something so special about the people who love a bride and groom enough to pour their hearts into making their wedding day wonderful.

And the other Sarah was definitely one of those people!

The Sweetest Wedding Day Friendships

One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is getting to know the people surrounding our couples.

Sarah and Daniel have some incredible friends.

From their wedding party to the guests who traveled to celebrate, there was so much genuine excitement for these two.

Everyone was ready to have fun, enjoy time together, and celebrate the newlyweds.

We also had the opportunity to work alongside Bits of Love, who provided wedding day content creation.

And let me tell you, she was wonderful!

We had the best time getting to know her and working together throughout the day. I always love meeting talented wedding professionals who bring great energy and creativity to a celebration, and she was such a joy.

An Elegant Reception Filled With Joy

Following their ceremony, everyone gathered for a beautiful reception at The Hotel at Avalon.

The black-and-white wedding design, gorgeous florals from Blosm Design, and elegant hotel setting created such a timeless atmosphere.

The room was beautiful, but the energy from their family and friends made the celebration even better.

With Velvet City Sound providing the entertainment, guests enjoyed an evening filled with music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of celebration.

And I love that Sarah and Daniel chose the hotel's BMW courtesy vehicle for their getaway car. Such a fun finishing touch to their sophisticated wedding day!

From beginning to end, this celebration was full of personality, beautiful moments, and so much happiness.
