A weekend in October was one I’ll never forget—filled with music, memories, and meaning. As a Knoxville wedding photographer, I spend most weekends capturing love stories behind the lens, but this time, I got to live out a special moment with my daughter, right before she begins her own love story as a bride-to-be.
We packed our bags and flew from Knoxville to Miami for night one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint. From the moment she hit the stage, the stadium was electric. Thousands of us were singing, screaming, and soaking in every lyric that has walked with us through every season of life. But what made this night unforgettable was sharing it with my daughter—just the two of us, singing every word, laughing, crying, and holding onto one of the last big “just us” moments before her new chapter begins.
Watching Taylor perform songs that have become soundtracks for so many women’s lives made me realize how fast time really moves. One minute, you’re dancing in the kitchen with your little girl—and the next, you’re at a concert together, talking about flower choices and honeymoon destinations.
