The Mackey House Wedding :: Savannah, Georgia

Goodness, was it a gorgeous day in Savannah, Georgia at the beautiful Mackey House. Lizzy and Lukas were such an amazing couple to work beside and their Mackey House day was one for the record books.

We started the day with the drive to Savannah, Georgia! The weather was perfect as we arrive at the Mackey House for this special wedding day. When we shot Lizzy and Lukas’ engagement session. we knew they were a perfect match to our style and vibe. They’re both so calm and relaxed and they leaned in and trusted us all day long. It’s the perfect way to get the perfect images on your wedding.

Lizzy and Lukas have a really special and unique love story. Most couples anticipate the storms after marriage, but these two have already walked some of their own, together. When you walk through an illness together, the love story develops into a lasting love and you can see that in the way these two look at one another.

The Mackey House was the perfect escape for their friends and family to gather to celebrate this love story turning into Lizzy saying yes when Lukas asked her to spend forever with him.

As we continued through their day, the friends and family gathered at the Mackey House with high anticipation of watching this couple say “I do”. We spent a beautiful afternoon and first look with the couple and their wedding party. As they ceremony hour drew near, it was time! The emotions were high and it was time to seal their romance and marriage story with a kiss.

Once the ceremony was over, we snuck them away for some of my most favorite romantic shots ever. The Mackey House not only sits on beautiful property with a beautiful home, but the tree lines are gorgeous and we captured their love between those lines on the Mackey House property.

The reception was adorned with amazing florals. Elegant is the word for this family and friends affair where they gathered to celebrate.

As they night ended, we headed to the dance floor on the porch of the Mackey House and they partied the night away. They even celebrated with some amazing bourbon soaked Krispy Kreme doughnuts and they were definitely a big party favorite.

As they settled into their final dance, on the private dance floor, you knew these two were going to have a really fun and special forever. Their love story is one for the books and the Mackey House was the perfect backdrop to celebrate them.

Enjoy a sneak peek of their special day at the Mackey House in Savannah, Georgia!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Dretzka! We are so happy for you and can’t wait to watch your love story to continue.
