Quinney Oaks Wedding :: Millen, Georgia

A beautiful spring day to travel to Quinney Oaks for the most perfect intimate wedding day.

Built in 1922, Quinney Oaks Plantation offers a unique setting that will take you back to the antebellum era with a certain classic look and elegance that you cannot find elsewhere.

They are located in Millen, Georgia, nestled between Savannah and Augusta. Just five miles from the beautiful Magnolia Springs State Park, the cabins there make great accommodations for the wedding party or guests.

Wedding ceremonies in the English courtyard, dancing under the covered pavilion, celebrating with loved ones around large lit oak trees surrounded by pecan orchards, are just a few of the views that Quinney Oaks has to offer you.

This is exactly the wedding day that Lindsey and Holden had been dreaming of for many months.

I was honored to be the call when Lindsey needed a last minute wedding photographer. We rarely have a spring date available and so I felt very called to help capture their wedding day when she called one month before their big day.

Lindsey is a stylist at my favorite Savannah, Georgia salon (plug for my Full Bloom peeps) and I have truly fallen in love with each girl there. We coordinate and got her timelines done quickly and she leaned in and trusted me for her special Quinney Oaks wedding day.

As we arrived to the location, at Quinney Oaks, I knew this was going to be a special day. Her special friends and family were around her and she looked amazing. Holden was already getting ready in the most amazing blue suit. Listen, take notes because it looks so good in the photographs.

I also love that these two spent their Quinney Oaks wedding day spending time together. They opted for no wedding party and I was really excited about all of the time we were going to spend with just the two of them. I love a good wedding party, but there is something so sweet and special about having a while to just capture the love story of two people. Everyone was so supportive to them.

As we headed into first look, excitement was definitely in the air. Holden was thrilled to see his bride and Lindsey was ready to see her groom. Quinney Oaks was the perfect backdrop for their romantic wedding.

We photographed many romantic moments before heading over to a special ceremony in the garden, at Quinney Oaks. The wind was gently blowing and the atmosphere was filled with love. You could tell everyone was so excited to celebrate the love story these two have built together.

After the kiss, we headed into some reception fun and then took on a perfect golden hour together. These two were game for all the romantic poses we had in store. I love a couple that just leans in and trusts. We hadn’t known them long, but they were all in!!!

The rest of the evening at Quinney Oaks was spent dancing and drinking the night away. They had so much fun with friends and family and it was an amazing night that we almost didn’t get to attend. I am so thankful that they chose us to spend this day with them, even on the last month of their engagement.

Enjoy a special sneak peek of their Quinney Oaks Wedding day. I sure hope we get many more chances to go back to this venue because it’s pure magic!

What a perfect day! Everything fell into perfect place for this amazing couple and we were honored to be by their side for their special day!

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Marks! We had a blast with you guys!
