Jekyll Island Club Wedding || Kelly + Bryson

Jekyll Island Club Wedding

I am learning that there’s just something about a Jekyll Island Wedding. The light is always just right, the pace is slow and calm, the people are feeling the island vibe, and the couples are ready to shine.

Kelly and Bryson’s special day was absolutely this and more.

It all started with an email from Kelly’s dad, Bob. He messaged a couple months ago asking about our services and I could tell that Bob and I would be quick friends. He was so fun to talk to, he explained everything about Kelly and Bryson and their love story, and told me his sweet wife, Teri, would be in contact soon.

In the next weeks, the booked us to capture their daughter’s special day and the rest is where we catch you up. Teri, Kelly’s mom, often told me how calm Kelly is and so I knew that her day would be a dream to photograph. Don’t get me wrong, we love a bride with a plan, but it’s important to relax on the wedding day or you’ll miss it all. The little things you think that are important, are just not as important on that special day and Kelly took that to heart. She was in the moment from the time we arrived and it was plain to see that this Jekyll Island Wedding was going to be a soft, sweet, and romantic wedding day.

As we got started in their room at the Jekyll Island Club, the bride and bridesmaids were having so much fun together. We grabbed the details and went down to the resort property to capture the smallest and intimate details from their day.

This day was also unique because Bryson and Kelly had actually married in a very private ceremony, back in August of 2021. This was a day for celebration and a big party to honor them. It also allowed our sweet bride and groom to stay in each moment of the day. Their love story was already written, we were just adding a chapter to the book.

It was a warm, but breezy day for this Jekyll Island Wedding.

As we headed back up the steps to get Kelly ready, you looked around and everyone was so calm and inviting. You could tell this was a special place, especially for a bride and groom and their families.

It was time for the first look with Dad and Kelly, and also Bryson and Kelly.

The breeze was blowing and Kelly looked amazing. She was glowing and so joyful. I love her heart and how she carries her excitement and emotions with her. She cried as she saw her Dad and also upon seeing Bryson.

The Jekyll Island Wedding breeze was in the air and the excitement was building.

The wedding party headed down for some formals and then, we headed over to Crane Cottage and Faith Chapel…it was almost time for their special moment.

The ceremony was beautiful as Kelly’s aunts read special passages and this special couple sealed their vows with a kiss. As they walked back down the aisle, you knew their love story was something very special.

After a few family formals, we spent sunset chasing light and capturing those special moments of Kelly and Bryson. He sure does love his girl.

This Jekyll Island Wedding party was getting started and the reception, in the Grand Ballroom, was here.

They danced and enjoyed their family and friends. They had an amazing dinner and many cocktails were served. The DJ had the dance floor jumping hotter than the 4th of July (wink, wink) and we love watching their guest enjoy the bride and groom’s company.

We had the most amazing time with Kelly and Bryson! In fact, I’ve already talked to Kelly many times since Saturday and I am sure a lunch will be in our plans soon. She is one of those people you just want to be friends with forever. She is calm and so sweet, she doesn’t get caught up in the little things, and she loves so big.

Bryson will forever be one of my favorite grooms. He’s an army guy and you know that my heart is always there. I’m a military brat and military grandchild. I love how strong he is, but he also has a gentle spirit.

The two were definitely designed for one another!

Kelly and Bryson, we love you!!! Thank you for allowing us to spend this special day with you!

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Allen!
