A pretty perfect day at Oak Hill at Berry College, in Rome, Georgia. All week long we anticipated a hurricane like weather day for Rachel and Jacob’s special day. We watched the weather patiently, my family even came into Rome early just to make sure we had no trouble arriving for their perfect day.
As they day approached, this Oak Hill Wedding day decided to shine bright with sunshine and we capture the most beautiful memories of their family and friends, at this historic event location.
Rachel and Jacob picked the most perfect backdrop to say their vows. Oak Hill is a perfect place for an intimate wedding day with your close family and friends. I remember when they first contacted me about their special day, I knew we couldn’t say no to an Oak Hill Wedding. I grew up right here on the grounds of this beautiful place.
Some of you may also notice this venue from “Sweet Home Alabama” featuring Reese Witherspoon, as it was the perfect backdrop as the Carmichael House in the romantic comedy.
But on this day, there was no comedy…well except from the fun bridesmaids and groomsmen. This day was full of much anticipated beautiful light and the love of two people who decided to join their lives together on this perfect Oak Hill Wedding day.
We had a ton of fun with Rachel’s details. She brought all of the colorful swatches she used to pick her perfect Oak Hill Wedding colors and we incorporated those into some detail shots. It was so fun and creative to step out of the box and have an adventure with the details.
As we got this gorgeous bride ready,. he long time best friend helped her prepare for the moment. It was such a special moment between the two of them and their smiles were glowing. I think everyone was ready to enjoy this perfect love story at this Oak Hill Wedding.

I mean. come on! There isn’t a bad spot to photograph on this Oak Hill Wedding property and we enjoyed using every square inch of the grounds.
We quickly headed into the ceremony time. Jacob requested to wait until the ceremony to see Rachel and the way he looked at her coming down the aisle was magic.
You can tell these two have a love story for the ages and they had so much fun walking into forever together. Their ceremony was filled with many beautiful moments, moments of tears, but also moments of laughter.
After the kissed and became husband and wife, the chose a perfect flower petal exit from their ceremony, instead of the end of the night. It truly is the best idea ever! Get those beautiful petal pictures while all of your friends are still there and you look your best.
We love that they chose this idea as they headed back down the aisle on their perfect Oak Hill Wedding day.
After family formals, we quickly captured the full wedding party and then headed into the romance between a husband and wife.
The Oak Hill Wedding property was no match for the smiles as big as the sun as we photographed their love story! I mean, just look how gorgeous these people are and especially our bride and groom!
After a quick spin at the Oak Hill Wedding house, we headed down to the pavilion and enjoyed the fun of dancing and drinking and eating.
A cake from Honeymoon Bakery is a FAVORITE and we were so excite that they choose this as their special cake.
This Oak Hill Wedding venue is so perfect, with outdoor and indoor seating and beautiful wood and glass doors that open on a spectacular fall evening.
And Rachel and Jake got just that; the perfect fall evening and temperatures.
So much fun was had by all and it was so much fun for us that we forgot to take the Sullins Squish…no worries, I was pumped that we had taken one at their engagement session! Just know we looked a tad better on their actual wedding day.
There is nothing more perfect than going back home, to Rome, to capture a Berry College and Oak Hill Wedding…these two made it even more perfect!
Congratulations, Mr,. and Mrs. Williams! We were so honored to capture your day!!! We wish you many years together and a beautiful life ahead!
