Our beautiful couple was married on a Monday afternoon at Perimeter Church. Emily and Peter have had to reschedule their wedding day, not once, but twice during this pandemic. I love what Emily said to me as I captured her detail shots the week before her elopement. Her words, “I just want to be married!” Peter even commented at the elopement that this has really put things in perspective. Can I just say, these two are a dream couple. At the end of the day, they just wanted to be married! They had been waiting for a very long time for their special day and on Monday, August 3, 2020, we finally were able to capture the magic of this moment for them.

The day of the elopement we were all very nervous. Hurricane Isaias had made its round through the Atlantic coast and the storms from the outer bands were headed our way! And let me tell you, they got here at 1:15 and we all watched in sadness that we may have to run in the rain for their ceremony. I even had close friends praying so hard that the rain would move out before the ceremony. And guess what, it did! At 5:15, the rain stopped and the most gorgeous summer light appeared. This couple had been through so much already and this was a beautiful way to start their marriage; sunlight and no rain!

Their parents arrived, along with Peter’s brother, Chris, and Emily’s best friend and maid of honor, Emily (aka Weaver). We had such a fun and emotional time with their family and Josh and I feel so blessed that we had a hand in making their day come together!

At the end of the day, all that really matters is that they’re married! And they are!!!

Enjoy the sneak peeks from their special day!

In Emily’s words after rescheduling her day twice…

I just want to be married! And now, they’re married!!!

We are so honored to be part of their lives and special day!

It’s finally here! Part two of Emily and Peter’s long awaited wedding day at Ivy Hall in Roswell, Georgia.

You read the story above! Many reschedules finally brought us to September 24, 2021 and Peter and Emily got to have their most magical wedding day. Sometimes it’s all too much to soak in, but I am so thankful we got to celebrate their love story and I got two amazing friends out of a very hectic and crazy pandemic season!

After some amazing photographs and the most perfect sunlit sky, we headed back up the ramp to the wedding venue and the ceremony was set to begin!

It was time to party the night away! Em even gave us an outfit change and was STUNNING!

I must admit! I am sad my time with these two is over… at least for their wedding events. Josh and I love them both so much and we can’t wait to cheer them on in their married life (and hopefully shoot many sessions to come).

Congratulations, Emily and Peter! We are so happy for you!
