Village Creek Landing :: St. Simons Island Wedding

The most perfect December day was happening and it was finally their special wedding day at Village Creek Landing.

Village Creek Landing has quickly became one of our favorite places. Not only is the venue gorgeous. the precious people that own it are so kind and work so hard to make sure everything is perfect for their couples. Jessica and Bruce’s St. Simons Wedding was no exception.

If there is one thing I’ve learned about St. Simons Wedding days, it’s to prepare for any weather at any time of the year. We’ve shot cold spring weddings and hot winter weddings. Each day is different and you never know what the weather will hold. But let me tell you, Bruce and Jessica’s day was perfect. Not only was the wedding weather perfect, but so was the atmosphere for their special day.

Jessica is such a kind soul and I have loved getting to know her over these last few months. As soon as I met Bruce, and their friends and family, I knew these two were going to have the most exciting and fun day. And a side note: Southern Soul catered and y’all…that is just goodness in itself.

We arrived to the beautiful Village Creek Landing venue on the most perfect day. After we captured all of the details and chatted with our sweet friend, Maggie, who is an amazing wedding planner and coordinator, the bride and her girls were set to arrive. We quickly got Jess in her dress and ready for a first look with her handsome groom.

The first look was such a fun moment. These two have the best personalities so they quickly admired one another and the giggles started. I think I loved this the most. They were both so excited this day was finally here they were overwhelmed with love and joy.

As we headed into the ceremony time, excitement was building. Friends and family from all over (seriously, they were from everywhere) came to be part of Jessica and Bruce’s special day. They had planned a full weekend with the entire crew and I just love when wedding days are all weekend events for everyone.

Village Creek Landing was buzzing with anticipation as Jessica and Bruce said “I do” and became husband and wife. After the kiss at the altar, Village Creek Landing was ready for dancing the night away and eating amazing food. (This is where I will make a wow, was that pimento cheese good…and they had boiled peanuts and your girl was really here for that!)

After some sunset portraits and time with the couple, they headed in for dinner and fun.

Village Creek Landing has so many amazing spots for beautiful portraits, but I love the many spots available for dinner and cocktails. It was a perfect location for this wedding day.

We wrapped the evening with bubbles in the round and some kisses and hugs…

Then, we snuck off with the couple for two portraits. One is where these two had their first date and the other is where they had their first kiss. These special portraits ended our night on the right note and we now have friends for life in this amazing couple!

We couldn’t miss the Sullins Squish! It was the last of the year. This Village Creek Landing wedding was so special. It was such an honor to be beside them on their special day!

Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Hall! We are so happy for you!!!
